It is well known that in most cases men are more for casual sex than women. Here's the research that reveals why men are more likely than women to have a one-night stand, sex that happens just that one time and never again.
Men don't really care what a woman looks like
British scientists who analyzed responses of 860 American, German and Italian male and female students came to this conclusion. They were asked to imagine that they are being approached by persons of the opposite sex that can be described as 'slightly unattractive', 'moderately attractive' and 'extremely attractive'.
Students had to answer if they would agree to go out with such a person on a date, go to her apartment and end up in bed. What was interesting in this research was certainly the fact that men weren't too annoyed with what some ladies looked like. The result showed that 427 men who didn't pay too much attention to the category of the attractiveness of a person of the opposite sex, would go for a one-night stand.
Women have criteria
Unlike them, most women either rejected such a possibility and said that they 'need to think about it'. That is exactly why Professor Achim Shucvol, head of the Department of Psychology of the British Brunel University, concluded that the man with whom women were willing to have casual sex, would have to be extremely physically attractive or extremely charming, intelligent and witty.

'And while men are not completely insensitive to the attractiveness of a woman who invites them to sex, women have much higher standards and are more likely to accept 'casual sex' rather from handsome man than from a less handsome one - regardless of their other traits', wrote the authors of the study.
