When they are trying to attract a man, women usually try to look as feminine and beautiful as possible. However, the latest research has shown that boys actually are attracted to feminine girls - but only for a brief moment.

They much easier decide to marry women who are really not that pretty. Research that was conducted in Paris with several hundred heterosexual volunteers showed that men are more attracted to women with feminine and gentle features, but only for short-term relationships.

When it comes to marriage and long relationships, they are more attracted to ladies with somewhat severe features. Scientists showed men and women two pictures of the same person. One had feminine features, while the other one was a bit more severe.

Result: Guys usually said that with a girl that has softer features they would like to have a ‘fling’, but that with the one with rough and not so attractive features they would rather start a family. 

Women said that the guys with masculine, rough facial features are more attractive for marriage. What is particularly interesting is that married men often responded that they would be happy to have an affair with a woman with feminine and attractive features.

Scientists explain that men are looking for not-so-beautiful women for their long-term partners because previous studies have shown that beautiful women are very often unfaithful, which puts off guys subconsciously in the long run.

When it comes to filings, they are not so interested in whether girls are faithful or not. Women, on the other hand, are more attracted to men with masculine traits because they give the impression of someone who will be able to take care of them and their children.
